MANILA, Philippines - Energy efficiency. Green energy

. These are currently just some of the phrases used to describe advantages of a home or condominium that’s environmentally friendly. But how about a home that is feng shui-friendly, or one that allows “positive energy” to come into the life of its occupants?

For advocates of “Feng Shui” or the principle of finding harmony and balance within the layout of a home to provide a healthier environment for its owners, a new development in Quezon City is seen to offer just that — and more!

The new development, called 68 ROCES, is a project of Eton Properties Philippines Inc. and is dubbed as a “premier luxury residence” that would feature the finest pleasures in life. Aside from offering world-class amenities, the development will also provide a fresh new take on city living by bringing together energy-efficient design themes and modern-inspired architecture.

More importantly, these new luxury residences will also be designed using key feng shui principles to bring in good fortune and positive energy inside the units. Eton Properties, in fact, has commissioned Master Charlie Chao, a world-renowned geomancer, to look into the development’s floor area, gate frontage and location.

“Feng Shui was harmoniously incorporated in the master plan of 68 Roces. Its location, which was formerly the site of a publishing company, actually emits positive vibes owing to its higher elevation,” confirms Master Chao.

For feng shui experts, a higher location is an added boon since it puts the development in a dominant position to bring in “good chi” or positive energy.

On a more practical side, good location and elevation (68 Roces stands 91 feet above sea level!) will allow it to remain unaffected in case of heavy flooding. Centrally located in the heart of Quezon City, 68 Roces makes it easy for the busy executive to reach his place of work — be it in Pasig or Makati — without eating up too much of his time. Private schools and shopping centers like St. Paul University, Grace Christian, the Immaculate Conception Academy and Xavier School as well as SM North, Trinoma, and Greenhills Shopping Center are all just a short distance away.

The development also provides easy access to the country’s leading medical institutions like Capitol Medical Center, Philippine Orthopedic Center, as well as St. Luke’s and the Delos Santos hospitals.

“Feng Shui is about locating yourself in the best place in your environment — in a place which enables you to take advantage of all the forces, both seen and unseen, that can benefit you,” adds Master Chao.

Master Chao, in fact, has cited the project’s building design and configuration as having excellent feng shui with majority of the units facing East. The units’ floor plans have also been designed to expressly follow good feng shui principles, with the main doors facing the direction of the rising sun.

“In practicing good feng shui principles, the directional orientation and internal layout of the building, especially if it is for a residential home, has to be properly selected to draw in the good energy that can be enjoyed by the people who live or work there,” he says.

Located in a 3.3 hectare block along Roces Avenue, Quezon City, 68 ROCES is seen to redefine luxury residences living in the area. With 2 car ports each in every unit, would-be buyers can opt for a three-bedroom to an expansive 4-bedroom luxury residence that offers the best in accessibility and convenience, world-class amenities, and top-notch security.

Another component in the design features of 68 Roces is the use of natural light and cross ventilation in the units to make them more energy-efficient abodes. The ultimate aim for this is to enable residents to lessen their dependence on artificial lighting and air conditioning.
