SINGAPORE-based company Ascott Limited, which is owned by CapitaLand, will be in Bonifacio Global City in 2014. Headquartered and listed in Singapore, CapitaLand and Limited’s businesses in real estate and real-estate fund management are focused on its core markets of Singapore and China.
The company’s diversified real-estate portfolio primarily includes homes, offices, shopping malls, serviced residences and mixed developments. The company also has one of the largest real-estate fund management businesses with assets located in Asia. CapitaLand leverages its significant asset base, real-estate domain knowledge, product design and development capabilities, active capital management strategies and extensive market network to develop real-estate products and services in its markets.
Ascott now has grown to be the world’s largest international serviced residence owner-operator since 1984. It has more than 22,000 operating serviced residence units in key cities of Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Gulf region, as well as over 8,000 units which are under development, making a total of more than 31,000 units in over 200 properties.
The company operates three brands, including Ascott, Citadines and Somerset, which portfolio spans over 70 cities across more than 20 countries, where serviced residences are being developed in 14 new cities.
In 2006, it established the world’s first Pan-Asian serviced residence real-estate investment trust, Ascott Residence Trust. Today, the company boasts a 29-year industry track record and award-winning serviced residence brands that enjoy recognition worldwide.
Ascott’s achievements have been recognized internationally. Recently, the topping-out ceremony for Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila was held and it’s set to open in the first quarter of 2014. The 220-unit development is the second premier Ascott-branded property in the Philippines, after Ascott Makati. With its strategic location in the country’s fastest-growing business and lifestyle hub, Ascott Bonifacio Global City Manila is just a few steps away from the Philippine headquarters of multinational institutions and corporations such as the World Bank, Deutsche Bank, Ericsson, Hewlett-Packard, HSBC and Tetra Pak. Lifestyle centers such as Bonifacio High Street, The Fort Strip and High Street South are also within easy reach.
Ascott Bonifacio Global City (BGC) Manila will offer mid- to long-stay business travelers a choice of studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Each fully-furnished apartment features lavish living spaces including a well-equipped kitchen, separate dining, work and sleeping areas, ensuite bathroom and other state-of-the-art amenities. Residents can enjoy business facilities such as a ballroom, serviced offices and meeting rooms, as well as recreational facilities such as gym, spa and swimming pools.
“The Philippines’s improved credit ratings from Fitch, Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s have spurred the influx of businesses into the country. With a steady stream of corporate headquarters and high-value companies moving into Bonifacio Global City, Ascott BGC Manila will cater to a growing market of expatriates and business travelers looking for that home away from home experience,” said Arthur Gindap, Ascott regional general manager for the Philippines and Thailand.
Ascott BGC Manila is just one of Ascott’s upcoming properties in the country.  The company is also set to open Citadines Salcedo Makati in 2014 and Citadines Millennium Ortigas Manila in 2015.
