Asia CEO Awards names finalists



Alfredo Bengzon of The Medical City, Antonino Aquino of Ayala Land Inc., Bansan C. Choa of I-Remit Inc., Doris Ho of Magsaysay Maritime Corp., Hans Sicat of the Philippine Stock Exchange Inc., Marife Zamora of Convergys Philippines Services Corp., Miguel Garcia of DTSI, Philippe Lhuillier of P.J. Lhuillier Inc., and Rose Montenegro of Makati Medical Center were chosen as the top contenders for this year’s Asia CEO Awards top Filipino executive.

The seven-member board of judges of the 2011 Asia CEO Awards has chosen them as the finalists for the “PLDT ALPHA Enterprise Global Filipino Executive of the Year.”

The Enterprise Global Filipino Executive of the Year is one of the 10 awards that are up for grabs this year.

“The determination was a difficult and highly involved process because of the quality and large number of nominations received. The assistance and oversight of KPMG was critical to reaching conclusion,” Richard Mills of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the awards, said

The finalists for the “KPMG Executive Leadership Team of the Year” are ADEC Group of Companies, Concentrix, Magsaysay Maritime Corp., Sitel Philippines Corp., SN Aboitiz Power, Startek Inc., Telus International Philippines, and Thomson Reuters Manila

Vying for the “NorthgateArinso Top Employer Organization” are Aegis Limited Convergys Philippines Services Corp., Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Philippines Corp., JPMorgan Chase Bank, Maersk Global Service Centres (Phils.) Ltd., Maxim Philippines Operating Corp., Sitel Philippines Corp., and Telus International Philippines.

For the “Jones Lang LaSalle Leechiu Expatriate Executive of the Year,” the finalists are Erik Nielsen of Regus Service Centre Philippines B.V., Maulik Parekh of SPI Global, Philippe Reveilhac of Schneider Electric, and Steve Barker of Sitel Philippines Corp.

For the “Blue Cross Most Admired Board of Directors,” the finalists are Food & Beverage Inc., RCBC, Sagip Ka 2000 Foundation Inc., and Sun Life Financial.

The finalists for the “BusinessMirror Most Innovative Company” are Adec Group of Companies, Concentrix, I-Remit Inc., J Mango, The Philippine Stock Exchange Inc., Puratos Philippines Inc. and Sitel Philippines Corp.

The “Ford Quality Excellence Company” finalists are: Maersk Global Service Centres (Philippines) Ltd., Maxim Philippines Operating Corp., RCG Information Technology Philippines Inc., Schneider Electric (APC), Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in the Philippines, and WNS Global Services Philippines Inc.

For the “Getty Images/GetCre8ive Sales & Marketing Team of the Year,” the finalists are Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc., Eton Properties Philippines Inc. and HSBC–Global Publishing Services.

The “Teleperformance Finance Team of the Year” finalists are Ayala Land Inc., Cognizant, Fluor Philippines, Maersk Global Service Centres (Philippines) Ltd. and Telus International Philippines.

And for the “Accenture Technology Team of the Year,” the finalists are Bank of the Philippine Islands, Cognizant, NetSuite Philippines Inc., RCG Information Technology Philippines Inc., and Telus International Philippines.

Cesar Virata and Henry Schumacher will be receiving the “Lifetime Contributors-Special Judges Award” at the Asia CEO Awards gala night on November 10 at the Marriott Hotel Manila.

Mills said the Asia CEO Awards promotes leadership excellence and team-building within organizations, and highlights Filipino business accomplishment to the world’s business leaders.

“Asia CEO Awards, presented by American Express, represents the grandest alliance of local and international business people ever created to promote Philippines on the world stage,” he said.
