MANILA, Philippines - The real estate sector has seen a steady increase in investments in the last five years as more and more people want flexibility in their assets, something they can use and enjoy then sell the property when its market value has appreciated later on.

According to Landmark Communities Inc. president Celedonio A. Pile Jr, contrary to the perception that land value is slowly depreciating because of what is happening today, now is the best time to acquire one because not only does land value will pick up after the worldwide economic crisis is over but land prices are now more attractive.

“Land has always been a good investment and it has been valued more than money or stocks or bonds. People shouldn’t be discouraged to buy land especially a well-developed one because it is over time that the land gains its true value,” Pile said.

With this in mind, Pile together with his people in the Landmark Communities Inc. have developed communities that very first-time homeowner can surely be proud of.

“Everyone’s dream is to own a decent house but in our country today, it is very difficult to make this dream tangible. However, owning a home where you can enjoy the amenities and facilities that exclusive subdivisions offer to their high-end market should not be expensive,” Pile noted.

“One of the projects of Landmark Communities Inc. is Summerhills and we are dedicated to deliver Summer Hills as a prime development that is priced reasonably. Landmark knows the needs and desires of our market especially the first time homeowners. We want to give them a residence and a community that are well-planned to provide them convenience, security, harmonious living condition and especially a boost in their morale that they are living in a community that provides them a luxurious lifestyle,” Pile added.

This development partnership with Lima Land Inc. (owner of the Lima Technology Center) draws inspiration from sunny Californian houses in the United States. Conveniently located along President Laurel National Highway in Lipa, Batangas, Summer Hills is just an hour drive from Metropolitan Manila via the South Luzon Expressway. Summer Hills enjoys a reputation for being located near schools such as the Lyceum of Batangas and the De La Salle University-Lipa; industrial parks such as the First Philippine Industrial Park, Carmelray Industrial Park and its neighbor, the Lima Technology Center; and shopping malls like SM and Robinsons Department Stores and other commercial centers. It is also close to facilities such as hospitals and local government offices.

As a growing community, Summer Hills offers a discerning mix of open lots, and low-cost and socialized housing to respond to the needs of family life and to suit the lifestyle of every homeowner. The community was particularly designed for families of overseas workers, newly-established families and budget-conscious families. Hence, it is committed to provide utmost support to family building. The developer assures its clients that for as low as P340,000 to P 1.5M they can own their dream house.

Summer Hills took the initiative to create charming model house units which families can choose from whenever they decide to build their homes in the communities of Sunnyvale, Palmdale and Rosewood I and Rosewood II.

These various carefully-planned model units maximize land use without sacrificing beauty. Summer Hills made a step farther in this initiative by designing the interiors and furnishing them with furniture to show how even the little of spaces can be put to good use by careful house planning.
