Irresistible to people of good taste

DOES the rising cost of residences in the city make your dream of having a house of your own vanish as the days, months and years go by? Don’t despair, for believe it or not, there is a dream location waiting for you at a first-class community along Daang Hari in Alabang. It is aptly named Versailles, after the famous palace in France, and its stunning main entrance is but a prelude to the elegance palpable throughout its 75-hectare expanse.
There are many things that make Versailles irresistible to people of good taste. First and foremost is the aesthetic value offered by the whole property, from its imposing black-and-gold main gates to its state-of-the-art-clubhouse. Masterfully crafted Mediterranean-inspired homes are thoughtfully designed and laid out along wide roads that make for easy navigation.
Underground electrical wiring assures residents of full enjoyment of landscaped open spaces—and if your children so please, they may even safely fly kites on windy summer days.
Another surprising asset of Versailles is its accessibility. Many think that a place so pristine and naturally blessed would be hundreds of miles away from where the action is. That is the “surprise,” for Versailles is only a five-minute drive from Alabang Town Center—shorter than it takes to play your favorite song twice. In the prestigious neighborhood, too, are Madrigal Business Park, Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Alabang Golf and Country Club, Woodrose School, De La Salle Zobel, Filinvest Corporate City, and just over the fence, so to speak, is the South Luzon Expressway.
Versailles’s designer and builder is Palafox Associates, a name so trusted and respected in architecture that its stamp of approval assures clients of satisfaction for life. The clubhouse is already operational and Phase 1A is already studded with homes that smart early birds have acquired. Owned and developed by State Properties Corp., Versailles boasts of an efficient construction timetable, done in collaboration with Jurong Consultant PTE of Singapore and Rolando Mercado Design Associates.
The best part of it is its affordability. It’s a high-end address available at almost giveaway price tags, thanks to the innate generosity of State Properties Corp. President Allen Roxas, who said, “I have been so blessed in life that I want to help others, especially young families with modest income and growing children.”
And just how affordable is Versailles? The same amount that may buy one a one-bedroom 45-sq-m condo unit in the A1 districts of Metro Manila will get one a 320-sq-m lot with a European-style, ready-for-occupancy house in Versailles.
There are six house models to choose from: Therese, Adelaide, Antoinette, Sophie, Amelie and Elisabeth, each of which boasts of a master’s bedroom with balcony, master’s toilet and bath with walk-in closet, two more bedrooms with individual toilet and bath, wardrobe cabinets in all bedrooms, living room with high ceiling, dining room with lanai, kitchen with modular cabinets and granite countertop, maid’s room with toilet and bath, powder room, utility area, carport for two to four cars—and three of the models have provisions for an attic.
