Choosing your international village at the Tagaytay Highlands

FAMILIES need not cross the seas to experience the good life in Japan, North America, Europe or other developed countries in Asia.

The lifestyle they aspire for is actually only a little over an hour away from Manila, with all its modern amenities fully integrated in a stunningly scenic natural environment that includes world-class leisure facilities and a mild, cool weather all year round—no harsh winters of the western hemisphere or the scorching heat of the tropics.

That’s how people of different nationalities describe the life they live in numerous Tagaytay Highlands communities snugly nestled in its over 1,300-hectare picturesque expanse overlooking the world-famous Taal Lake, Laguna de Bay and Mount Makiling, and within strolling distance from the property’s two international championship golf courses, sports center with indoor squash and basketball courts, swimming pool, go-kart race track, spa and lodge, parks and vegetable farms, and a selection of specialty restaurants.

These luxuriously exclusive communities are part of Tagaytay Highlands’ master-planned residential development that gives people the choice of lifestyle—whether it be Japanese, American, European or tropical Asian—at a reasonable price.

Literally at the peak of quality living along Tagaytay’s highest elevations, the international communities emerge from the property’s three prime locations—the 360-hectare Highlands (2,000 to 2,500 feet above sea level), the 670-hectare Midlands (1,000 to 1,500 feet), and the 260-hectare Greenlands (400 to 920 feet).

Most of the international communities at the Highlands such as the Woodlands, Belle View, Pinecrest, Villas and Woodridge are already sold out.

Nonetheless, residential properties in the communities at the Midlands such as the Japanese-themed Katsura and the Italian Tivoli Place are still up for grabs.

In the Greenlands, the communities with still available lots are the contemporary American-inspired Fairfield and the modern architecture-themed Nob Hill.

Gracefully sitting on 14 hectares of rolling terrain, the gated Katsura community includes an assortment of Japanese gardens that resemble the environs of the Katsura Palace in Kyoto. It also has a picturesque five-meter promenade, and underground electricity and water connections. Lot areas range from 300 to 500 sq m.

With similar amenities but drawing inspiration from the famous hill in Italy’s Lazio region, the Tivoli Place offers scenic views of the fairways, landscaped gardens and mountain ridges. Lot sizes range from 300 to 1,000 sq m.

On the other hand, the Fairfield offers a gated country-inspired community of contemporary bi-leveled and spacious American homes set upon eight hectares of sprawling greenery with wide open spaces, tree-filled parks, picture-perfect views and underground utilities. Lot sizes vary from 300 to 700 sq m. Fairfield is near the second nine-hole addition to the Tagaytay Midlands golf course.

Likewise a showcase of luxury in a breathtaking, contemporary setting, the gated Nob Hill community offers houses in today’s tradition of green living using eco-friendly technologies and large picture windows that seemingly make the great outdoors seem part of a home’s interiors. The Nob Hill is also near the second nine-hole addition to the Tagaytay Midlands golf course and has its own atriums and pocket gardens, and with underground utilities. Lot sizes are up to 700 sq m.

All the communities have 24/7 security and emergency medical and firefighting teams, 100-percent emergency power supply system, independent and unlimited water supply, in-house landscaping and home maintenance services, rental/leasing servicing for units, over 20 specialty restaurants, a WiFi zone, and are close to markets, shopping centers, and schools like the St. Scholastica’s college, Caritas Don Bosco and De La Salle University-Canlubang.
