Smart Money powers up SUKI launch

IN SUPPORT of small businesses, leading wireless services provider, Smart Communications, Inc., through its payment platform, Smart Money, will provide SUKI merchants and customers with a fast, convenient and secure way of settling purchases just via a few clicks on a Smart mobile phone.

Smart has collaborated with PLDT-SME Nation to unveil SUKI (http://www.suki.net.ph), the first business networking site that enables small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to transact and interact with customers via an online social community set-up.

During the Suki launch at the Legazpi Sunday Market in Makati City, hundreds of bazaar merchants and patrons experienced the security and convenience of cashless transactions all made possible by the Smart Money platform. Smart Money allows buyers and sellers to easily perform peer-to-peer mobile payments, without having to go through the hassles of counting cash, nor providing change.

Mobile money transfers are performed as fast and as simple as sending a text message. And once a mobile money transfer is completed, both buyer and seller will receive SMS notifications containing the details of the transaction.

“We are pleased to team up with PLDT-SME Nation to provide SMEs with the technology and payment infrastructure that will help expand their markets and improve their profitability,” said Jojo M. Malolos, Smart Group Head for Financial Services.

“We are optimistic that SUKI will help realize our vision of building ecosystems and communities powered by Smart Money,” Malolos added. (PR)
