Innoland's 3rd project launched

Friday, July 29, 2011

CEBU CITY -- The Innoland Development Corporation (IDC) had its groundbreaking ceremony Thursday in Asiatown I.T. Park, in Lahug, Cebu City, for its newest business process outsourcing (BPO) project.

The Link, a 20-storey BPO building defined by modern architectural design, will house 12 floors of leasable office spaces, five levels of above-ground parking, one level basement parking and a retail area on the ground floor.

It will be built in a 1,789 square-meter lot with approximately 1,350 square-meter leasable area.

The continued growth of the BPO industry in Cebu called for the development of Innoland's third project since it formally launched its first, the TGU Towers in Asiatown I.T. Park, in February 2010, Innoland chief operating officer Charles Ong said.

Earlier, the property developer launched the first green hybrid condominium in I.T. Park, Cebu, the Calyx Center. It is a hybrid building inspired by the live, work and play concept with a residential tower on a podium that houses BPO offices, parking floors and retail outlets in the ground floor, while taking the "living with nature" principle with the use of trees for landscapes, rainwater for non-potable uses, and wind with its open channels.

The Link, like its other projects, will take a green, sustainable design principle to respond to the changes of modern times.

The "green concept" has always been a major consideration in Innoland's projects, its marketing director Crystal Chloe Ong said.

Although the concept has yet to be clearly defined by the design team, she said, it would still consider using large operable windows to allow wind and natural light, reducing use of lighting and air-conditioning and dual piping system to make use of rainwater for flushing toilets, among others.

IDC promises not just the business sector with spaces worth the cost, it also assures Cebuanos a market for employment.

IDC was established in 2006 and is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission with an initial authorized capital stock of P20,000,000. It is owned by the Ong family.
